SpaceTec’s senior team consists of four seasoned professionals with years of experience in the space and terrestrial applications arena, both in management and management consulting roles.

Rainer Horn - Managing Partner, Munich

Rainer has nearly 20 years experience in consulting and finance. He has consulted private and institutional clients in aerospace, automotive, transportation and telecoms - on strategy, market analysis, organisational and finance matters. As accredited coach for leading seed funds he works with several start-ups and SME. At Booz Allen Hamilton he led the Space Services and Telematics Practice and managed European Business Operations as Finance Director. Rainer obtained an MBA from INSEAD and a dual-degree from ESB Reutlingen/London in European Business.  He is a member of the European Commission’s Galileo Advisory Board (MEAG), shaping the future of satellite navigation in Europe. Rainer is an avid skier and enjoys playing squash.

Stéphane Ourevitch - Partner, Brussels

Stéphane Ourevitch is the key point of contact for Earth Observation and Security activities. Prior to SpaceTec he has held top management positions at Dassault Electronique and Becker Flugfunkwerke. He mastered the consulting trade at Arsenale Novissimo and International Development Partners where he led various communication and consulting assignments in the space, aviation and energy domain. Stéphane has an impressive academic background, holding a Masters in Political Sciences and International Affairs from Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and a Masters in Law. Later in his career he obtained an MBA from INSEAD. Apart from his professional expertise, Stéphane loves to share his vast knowledge of wine.

Dr. Norbert Frischauf - Partner

Norbert is a senior technologist with strong expertise in space. He started his consulting career at Booz Allen Hamilton’s space practice advising satellite operators, European institutions and value added services providers. His technical expertise was build during his years at CERN, the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and the European Space Agency. Outside of his duties at SpaceTec Norbert hosts a scientific talk show on Austrian/German/Swiss TV and is a leading member in various associations, such as the Austrian Space Forum (OEWF) and the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA). He studied Technical Physics and Astronomy in Vienna. During his spare time he enjoys acrobatic flying with a glider plane and sailing the high seas.

Carla Filotico - Partner

Carla is an experienced consulting professional with 15 years of management consulting experience in numerous strategy and transformation projects in the aerospace and aviation industry. Prior to joining SpaceTec, Carla led the Space Strategy Practice in Europe of Booz & Co. Her major consulting focus is on the areas of: strategy and business planning, organisation, market analysis, technology management and project management. Carla holds a Master of Science in Space Engineering with highest honours. After running 1500m competitions in her university club, sport is still very important for her and in her spare time - when not busy with her six year old - she enjoys jogging, skiing and practicing ashtanga yoga. 

All our consultants have a solid background in space services, the space industry and space institutions. They have served as employees or consultants to the national and European institutions (European Space Agency, European Commission, European GNSS Agency, National Ministries and Authorities) as well as private companies.  Being a multi-national team, SpaceTec has native speakers in English, German, French, Polish, Italian, Spanish, Romanian and Dutch.  The academic background of the team is broad and the team members hold Masters in Law, Engineering, Physics, Economics, Political Sciences, Journalism, Research Methods and Project Management.
